Conservation Halton is the owner and custodian of a great many datasets related to the natural environment, hydaulics, hydrology and meteorological processes. We make every attempt to allow access to our data while still maintaining the integrity of the data and ensuring that it is used in a responsible manner.
In order to accomplish these goals we ask all individuals who request datasets from Consevation Halton to enter into a Data Licensing Agreement. This agreement clearly defines the individual responsible for abiding by the Terms of Use of the Data and provides Metadata that describes in detail the features and limitations of any datasets requested. The Data Licensing Agreement also ensures payment of licensing fees, handling fees, printing fees and recuperation of staff time incured during the preparation of the datasets.
A fee will be charged to all data requests unless it is waived by Senior Conservation Halton Staff or the request is part of an existing Data Sharing Agreement between Conservation Halton and another Organization.
