Exploring Nature by Car

Conservation Halton’s watershed is one of the most beautiful and diverse places in Ontario. The watershed includes the world-renowned Niagara Escarpment, the Lake Ontario shoreline, Carolinian forests, creeks, valleys and rich wetlands. From archaeological sites and a rare glacial lake to the ancient cedars that cling to escarpment cliffs, the protected conservation lands in the watershed are a significant natural heritage that needs to be protected for future generations to enjoy. You can enjoy some of the watershed natural features by taking a scenic driving tour.

Three tours are described here along with corresponding maps that can be downloaded to guide your driving trip. Most of the tours pass by Conservation Halton parks. Drop in and have a look at our spectacular parks that are so close to home.
